Your reservation will be in Pending status. A representative will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your booking. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking details and a PDF attachment.

Question 5

What vehicle categories are available?

Our fleet includes small cars, medium cars, large cars, SUVs, and 7-seaters. Each category has a set of example models — the vehicle you receive will be from the same category, though the exact model may vary.

Question 6

Can I choose between manual and automatic cars?

Accepted Answer

What happens if the exact model I booked is unavailable?

Accepted Answer

We will provide a vehicle from the same category with similar specifications. The example models shown for each category are indicative — you will receive a comparable vehicle from that group.

Question 8

Is insurance included in the rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Standard Insurance is included with every rental. It includes Collision Damage Waiver, Third-Party Insurance, Material Damage, Fire Insurance, Theft Insurance, Roadside Assistance, and 24/7 Customer Service, subject to the applicable excess. You can upgrade to Premium Full Insurance during the booking process for additional protection and a reduced excess.

Question 9

What insurance options are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer Standard Insurance (included) and Premium Full Insurance (optional upgrade). Standard Insurance includes Collision Damage Waiver, Third-Party Insurance, Material Damage, Fire Insurance, Theft Insurance, Roadside Assistance, and 24/7 Customer Service. Premium Full Insurance adds Windows/Glass, Mirrors, and Repairable Tyre & Wheel Damage coverage, with a reduced excess. Each package clearly shows what is covered, what is excluded, and the excess amount. View our Insurance page for full details.

Question 10

Can I pick up my car at Zakynthos Airport?

Accepted Answer

Yes. See our Zakynthos Airport car rental page for full details. Select Zakynthos Airport as your pickup location during booking. Pickup and return take place at SKLIVAS AIRPORT PARKING, approximately 300 metres from the Arrivals Exit. Enter your flight number so our team can track your arrival.

Question 11

Can I have the car delivered to my hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer delivery to hotels and accommodations across Zakynthos. Select your preferred delivery location during the booking process. For hotel returns, the vehicle must be returned by 20:00 on the agreed return date. A return after 20:00 is considered an additional rental day.

Question 12

What do I need to bring to pick up the car?

Accepted Answer

You will need a valid driving licence and an ID or passport. A credit card is not required. Please ensure your driving licence is valid for the duration of the rental.

Question 13

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add an additional driver as an extra during the booking process. The additional driver must also present a valid driving licence at pickup.

Question 14

What payment methods are available?

Accepted Answer

Available payment methods are shown during the booking process. Options may include paying online at the time of booking, or paying with cash, debit card, or credit card upon arrival. A credit card is not required to rent a vehicle.

Question 15

When do I pay for the rental?

Accepted Answer

This depends on the payment method you select. If you choose "Pay Now", payment is processed online. If you choose "Cash on Arrival" or "Card on Arrival", payment is collected when you pick up the vehicle.

Question 16

Is a security deposit required?

Accepted Answer

No. Blue Sky Rentals does not require a security deposit for standard car rentals. However, you remain responsible for the applicable insurance excess, any damage excluded from insurance, traffic fines, missing fuel, and other charges under the rental agreement.

Question 17

Do I need a credit card?

Accepted Answer

No. A credit card is not required to rent a vehicle from Blue Sky Rentals. You may pay with cash or a debit card on arrival. Credit cards are accepted as a payment method but are not mandatory.

Accepted Answer

We offer a range of extras including baby seats, infant seats, booster seats, additional drivers, and more. Visit our Extras page for the full list of currently available options and pricing.

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer baby seats, infant seats, and booster seats as bookable extras. Add them during the checkout process and specify the quantity you need.

Question 20

What is the fuel policy?

Accepted Answer

We operate a Same-to-Same fuel policy. The vehicle must be returned with approximately the same fuel level as at pick-up. If returned with less fuel, you may be charged for the missing fuel. No refund is provided for excess fuel left in the vehicle.

Question 21

What happens if I return the car late?

Accepted Answer

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date and time. Please contact Blue Sky Rentals before the scheduled return time if you expect a delay. A delay of more than one hour without prior agreement may result in an additional rental-day charge. An extension is valid only after approval by Blue Sky Rentals.

Question 22

Can I change my booking after it is confirmed?

Accepted Answer

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your booking. Our team will do our best to accommodate changes subject to availability.

Question 23

Accepted Answer

You may cancel your reservation without a cancellation penalty. If you have already paid, the eligible amount will be refunded according to the original payment method. Please notify Blue Sky Rentals as early as possible.

Question 24

What happens if I do not collect the car (No-Show)?

Accepted Answer

If you do not collect the vehicle at the agreed time and do not contact us, we may hold the reservation for up to two hours before classifying it as a No-Show and releasing the vehicle. For airport reservations with valid flight information, known flight delays are taken into consideration.

Question 25

Can I return the car early and get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you inform Blue Sky Rentals at least one day before the requested early return, the unused eligible rental days will be refunded. Per-day items such as insurance and child seats are recalculated. One-time fixed fees like the Outside Zakynthos Permission (€100) are not partially refunded. If you do not give at least one day of notice, one additional rental day may be retained.

Question 26

Can I extend my rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but an extension is not automatic. You must contact Blue Sky Rentals before the originally agreed return time. Extensions are subject to availability and become valid only after approval. The original agreed daily rental price is used for the additional days.

Question 27

What happens if the car breaks down?

Accepted Answer

Contact Blue Sky Rentals as soon as possible. Follow our instructions and do not authorize repairs independently unless we have approved them. We will provide reasonable assistance and, where necessary and subject to availability, arrange repair or a replacement vehicle at no upgrade charge.

Question 28

What should I do when leaving the car unattended?

Accepted Answer

Switch off the engine, remove the keys, close the windows, lock the vehicle properly, and park in a legal and reasonably safe location. Never leave the keys inside or unattended with the vehicle.

Question 29

Am I covered if the car is stolen?

Accepted Answer

Theft protection is included in your insurance package subject to the Terms & Conditions and applicable excess. However, theft protection does not apply if the theft results from serious negligence such as leaving the keys inside, leaving the vehicle unlocked, or giving the keys to an unauthorized person. If the vehicle is stolen, immediately contact Blue Sky Rentals and the police.

Question 30

Is Blue Sky Rentals responsible for my personal belongings?

Accepted Answer

No. You are responsible for your personal belongings. Blue Sky Rentals is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to items left inside the vehicle, in the boot, at a rental location, or in a replacement vehicle. Please remove valuables whenever leaving the vehicle unattended.

Question 31

Can I use the car to tow a trailer or another vehicle?

Accepted Answer

No. The rental vehicle must not be used to tow another vehicle, trailer, caravan, or any other object unless Blue Sky Rentals has given prior written authorization. Damage from unauthorized towing is not covered by insurance.

Question 32

Can I take the car outside Zakynthos or on a ferry?

Accepted Answer

The vehicle may leave Zakynthos only with prior written permission. You must purchase the Outside Zakynthos Permission (€100 fixed total per reservation). You must inform Blue Sky Rentals of your intended destination and obtain approval before taking the vehicle off Zakynthos. Transporting the vehicle by ferry without permission is strictly prohibited. The €100 permission is not an international cross-border authorization.
